    Turn Your Gray Matter Purple

    Principles of Neuroscience

This course covers fundamental biological processes in the brain and nervous system, the role of the nervous system in human and animal behavior, and how environmental influences impact these processes at the cellular and organismal levels.

    Neuroscience of Meditation

How do contemplative practices, such as meditation or yoga, change the brain, mind and body? This class examines the scientific evidence for the neurobiological effects of contemplation and how these relate to changes in emotion, cognition and behavior.

Neurobiology of Drug Use and Abuse

This course examines the biological aspects of drug action and effects, and drug addiction. It also explores drug addiction from a psychological perspective and discusses how drug addiction can be treated.
