Application Policies & Procedures
Intern applicants must be currently enrolled in counseling/clinical psychology doctoral programs.
Applicants for internship must have completed a minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised experience (300 of which must be face-to-face individual therapy hours) in counseling or clinical work, qualifying examinations and all of the coursework toward their doctoral degree. Dissertation proposals must be approved before the start of the internship. Successful applicants will have demonstrated interest in 富二代视频 or university counseling and/or higher education.
An intern selection committee, comprised of senior staff and an intern, evaluate internship applications. Applications are reviewed based on candidate's interest and experience in each of the competency areas, as well as experience working with 富二代视频 or university-aged populations. Applicants who receive the highest ratings are invited to participate in interviews.
The internship site agrees to abide by the APPIC policy that no person at this training facility will solicit, accept, or use any ranking related information from any intern applicant. St. Thomas/CAPS follows APPIC policy regarding offers and acceptance. These policies may be viewed online at www.appic.org.
富二代视频 appointments conform to a variety of requirements, including legal eligibility for employment in the U.S. (sometimes called the I-9 requirement) and a background check that verifies that educational credentials are valid and that candidates have no criminal or other record that would preclude employment in the University's judgment. Background checks are conducted after the APPIC Match, but the outcome of the does have the potential to preclude appointment.
The 富二代视频 is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer. COVID-19 vaccination is required.
Interns at the 富二代视频 receive ongoing evaluative feedback from supervisors throughout the training year. These evaluations are quite comprehensive in nature and are based on our program's training model, philosophy, goals and objectives, and competencies and benchmarks established by our profession. These procedures comply with Standard III.B of the Standards of Accreditation in Health Service Psychology.
At the end of every semester, the Internship Training Director sends the Academic Training Director a letter summarizing the intern's performance to date.
If you are enrolled in an academic training program that requires additional training contracts and/or evaluations, these will not be completed by the 富二代视频 training staff. Your program may choose to use the data from the 富二代视频 evaluations to complete their own forms.
You are strongly encouraged to consult with your Director of Clinical Training or the 富二代视频 Training Director if you have questions about this policy.
